Hi, I’m Ken Robinson—better known as “KBR.”

Originally from England and now based just outside Boston, my work blends British roots, artistic training, and years of professional experience in visual storytelling.

My Journey

Growing up on a farm in England, I developed a fascination with photography through my father’s vintage camera. That early curiosity evolved into a passion at Canterbury College of Art, where I studied Graphic Design and Art History, honing my creative vision. After graduating, I began my career as a graphic artist at The Sunday Times newspaper in London. This experience gave me invaluable exposure to the importance of attention to detail and the critical role visuals play in storytelling. 

 

I focus on capturing meaningful, unscripted moments—whether it’s the intensity of a sporting event, the essence of a portrait, or the craftsmanship behind a hand-made product.

My style is natural, dynamic, and deeply personal—designed to highlight the unique qualities of every subject. With meticulous preparation, I create images that resonate with authenticity and creativity.

 

Whether it’s freezing the peak moment of an athlete in action or crafting a portrait that reveals a person’s true character, my goal is always the same: to create images that connect and tell a story.

I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals and organizations, including WWII POW veterans, cancer research pioneers, a leading global career management services firm, and a three-time Super Bowl champion. These varied experiences have broadened my perspective and enriched my creative approach.

Photography is more than a profession to me—it’s a way to give back, from supporting local causes to documenting community events. I frequently donate my skills to support local causes and events, using my craft to uplift, inspire, and make a positive impact in my community.
